It seems Rikard's moly had taken on a "b" theme. Jenn did a bubble, Shante drew some bee's...I combined them with bugs and bubbles, LOL...hope it's okay.

Natalia, I will be mailing this in the next day or so, keep a look out in the mail and please, let me know when it arrives so I can stop worrying :)

Roll call

I realize this group has been slow to gain any momentum in its exchange. I have to start over since my book was lost along the way, but before I do, is everyone still interested in continuing this exchange? I will do whatever the group wants to do - either disband or keep going with the knowledge that it's very slow moving. Or we can re-energize and establish mailing deadlines to keep people moving.

Rikard's Doodle Moly off to Kelley and ..........

I received the cowboy moly. I will be working on my moly and cowboy moly in the next week and a half. Doodle Moly is on it's way to Kelley today.

I lately have bees on my brain. From childhood memories to the bee girl painting I did last year then to books - Secret Life of Bees. I wasn't sure what to draw and the beegirl just came out of me. B is for bees and beegirl.

Here's my entry for Natalia's cowboy moly. I have always wanted a pair of red cowboy boots. So here I have drawn one and written the mental story I carry with me that surrounds their mystique in my head. It will be off to Shante soon.

Rikard's Doodle Moly

So Rikard's theme as much as there is one, is doodles. Tonight I was out at a girl's craft night (wine, cupcakes and friends with busy fingers) and doodled a bubble with a needle being pointed at it. A reference to my mood these days? Perhaps. Influenced by the sewing going on around me? Definitely. Off to Shante next. I still have Nat's to work on and will send that off soon too.

Double Moly!

Today I got a nice little package from Rikard with both his and Natalia's moleskines in it. So now I have three total to work on over the next few weeks. This should be fun!

Jena...are you out there??

Hi All...I just wanted to make you aware that we seem to have a participant who is MIA. Both Shante and I have been trying to reach Jena for awhile now and I'm sad to say aren't having much luck getting a response from her. I've emailed her a few times through flickr, but haven't heard back. Then this morning I found she had a gmail address posted and tried her there too. As of now, I've yet to hear anything and I am still waiting to work in a book for this exchange. I suggested to Shante that until we hear from her we might want to just skip her in the rotation and if she comes back and wants to participate we can, of course, include her. However Shante has already mailed her Azuregrackles book...and Shante? I'm assuming your own as well, right? So that means Jena may have those in her possession. I'm not really sure what you all want to do, I just thought I'd let you in on what I've been up to..which is nothing...and see how you wanted to proceed :)

I apologize for being one of the slow ppl. I did my research for my moly and for Azuregrackles. I was so excited to do moly 52, and then I looked around and a month or two has flown by.

I apologize to Jenn aka Azuregrackle for holding your book so long. I will be mailing Jena Azuregrackle's poetry book to Jena by tomorrow.

Such a wonderful concept the poetry book. I had so many poems that I loved and that still stay with me. I choose three and then three became 2 and then American History by Micheal Harper won, I think because of all that is happening now and watching movies and PBS like Eyes on the Prize. "American History" poem I just saw images so instantly. I hope Azuregrackle likes my contribution to her moleskin. One love.

Is this exchange still going? I sent off my moly but have yet to receive anything? And I made a post in January but haven't received any responses. Is everyone still in or has the group gone kaput? Please let me know. Thank you.

Hi, I was just checking in to make sure everyone is still active with their exchanges. I just emailed Jena again asking when she would send her book...however I am still waiting on a moly to work in. Have yet to receive anything and was just curious how the rest of you are doing?? Maybe a few of you can post works in progress??
